Biography
RE:PAIR is Felix Vadan and Tavi Cocis. Romanian native Felix Vadan started his musical career in 1990 when together with 3 high school buddies he founded Exhaustive Model.
Heavily influenced by the new electronica wave that took the early 90's by storm, Ex Model enjoyed enormous success in Romania. The band released 2 albums and toured all the major music festivals in Romania. 1995 Felix met Tavi on the first days of college, and began sharing ideas and sketched some plans for a future musical collaboration. The same year, the band's front man, Alin Radu abandoned his musical career and moved to Madrid, Spain. Exhaustive Model was officially disbanded.
For the next two years Felix continued writing songs and in 1997 he immigrated to the US. Between 1997 and 2001, Felix served in the US Navy on the destroyer USS Caron. During that time he wrote few other songs which he tried to promote in his native Romania. Being very close of signing a record deal with one of the larges labels in the country, Felix decided in the end that he's not willing to take a chance and return to Romania for a fresh start due to a very amateurish and inconsistent strategy that the label had in mind for him.
Between 2002 and 2007 Felix was active on the U.S east coast electronic and rock stages as a part of different bands.
In 2008 Felix and Tavi Cocis finally sat down and talked about making music. Today a visual artist in Florence, Italy, Tavi started writing some new material and soon the results were visible. In 2009 RE:PAIR is born.
