Red Velvet Line are the result of the desire to continue playing together for some members of Glassmode, a gothic-metal band whose history began in 2004 in Rome, and after several years of work and after releasing an EP and an excellent video, broke up in 2008 after several lineup changes. So it was that in 2009, Sue, Gianni and Simone (the most recent bass player of Glassmode) decided to get back on stage with a new project.

Their need was to find two guitarists, but also someone to deal with the composition of new songs. Before of Glassmode, Simone had played for some time with Carlo in a previous pop-rock band, but he also knew that Carlo loves metal and that would have been easy enough for the band to suggest him to join the new project both as a guitarist and composer, also because he knew that Carlo had already been part of many metal bands in the past. Moreover, even Riccardo, longtime friend of Simone, was available to play, and he had already played with Simone in the past.

At that point it was just to get into the garage, playing some cover and wait for inspiration. The sound that was emerging from the outset clearly showed the deep-seated roots in the 80's metal, in particular as regards some rhythmic choices and for the melodic immediacy. But at the same time was evident in the songwriting of Carlo and Sue they wanted to expand into some more modern rock sound with a vaguely punk attitude especially in some songs.

No frills, just few finishing touches, simply rock, played in a direct way, this is the trademark that identifies the sound of Red Velvet Line. And so, after a few months dedicated to writing and arranging of the first songs in the summer of 2010 the band entered in studio to record their first album "The Stars Are Falling", 9 originals tracks and a cover, while in September was produced the videoclip of their first single "Tonight."
