Biography
Under the pseudonym of "THE RED TREE" are hidden DESTE & ROSS, two 26 year old DJs with a passion for electronic music. They met each other at the age of 6 and haven't left each other's side since, setting up a deep friendship that only some years later evolved into a mutual passion for DANCE music! They got their first experiences of mixing with two simple walkmans and a lot of worn-out cassettes. At the age of 16, they would turn to the use of a mixer and turntables. DESTE & ROSS would learn to mix with DAFT PUNK's brand new album "HOMEWORK", and the french duo would never leave them again, becoming their group of reference.
From then on, DESTE & ROSS would play both at various school parties and at gatherings for emerging DJs, at the same time expressing their interest in the electro-techno sound. ROSS would win third prize at a competition organised by the radio station "Boom Boom Energy". However, DESTE's commencement of university and ROSS's job would result in them neglecting their passion for vinyl. In such a way, they found time to broaden the horizons of their musical culture and thoroughly understand the greatness of "DISCOVERY". Only in 2005 would ROSS wipe the dust from the old tools of the trade and start playing again for a club and, after a while, he even reinstated the rusty DESTE! Together, they found themselves in front of a new musical reality: house music! ROSS would continue his craft, becoming the resident DJ at one the most frequented clubs in Rovigo, while DESTE, after a few months, pulled out.
2007 would be an important year for them because, with the advent of MYSPACE, they finally discovered that "HUMAN AFTER ALL" had been the forerunner of a new musical reality lead by the ED BANGER CREW and, in particular, by JUSTICE. After 10 years of waiting, they would finally be able to listen and to see DAFT PUNK play live at TRAFFIC FESTIVAL in TORINO. Overall, in 2007, they would see that, fortunately, something is changing!
Mix all of this together and you get THE RED TREE!
