Creo que es una de las biografías más exageradas, emotivas y cero objetivas que he leído. Ni Paul McCartney o John Lennon tienen llena tanta verborrea y lisonja en sus perfiles.

I don't get it. There- I said it. Just seems a little too grey, dull and emotionless. Can someone help get into this? Do I need to keep listening till stockholm syndrome kicks in? Does it require an acid trip to see the colours behind the grey?

It's a bit late for my comment and I hope you found the key with Ricardo already. For me it took years, lots of studying and digging into electronic and contemporary music. As with jazz years ago, Villalobos and the whole minimal genre just clicked finally and I've been getting everything he and his soulmates have been releasing for the last 15 years. One good hint is to listen to his stuff with a proper good sound system. Already a pair of good headphones with a good amplifier helps. There's so much stuff going on and you want to hear that.

I am puzzled as to the continual progression in this case here. It seems to defy laws of history...has anyone else had such a successful streak???

"You've listened to Ricardo Villalobos 1,869 time(s) and Que Belle Epoque 2006 123 time(s)" ... sounds about right!
