'Street Songs' is the fifth studio album by American musician Rick James (featuring The Stone City Band. This the Expanded Edition containing 12-inch extended versions of "Give It To Me Baby - 12" Version" and "Super Freak - 12" Version"

Originally released on April 7, 1981 by the Motown owned Gordy Records. Produced by Rick James (along with Alonzo Miller).
The album contained US R&B & Dance #1 (US Charts #40) hit - "Give It to Me Baby" it was the lead song and single from the album which became James' second number one single on the R&B chart, spending five weeks at the top spot, The US Dance #1 (R&B #3 and overall US #16) was the fifth song on the album - "Super Freak" was also one of James' biggest hits and the R&B #38 (overall US #102) hit was the second track from the album - "Ghetto Life". The album peaked at #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Charts (#3 Billboard 200). The final single and track from the album - "Fire And Desire" was a duet with Teena Marie a 7+ minutes soul ballad about unforgettable love and the condition it brings to the ones that have it, the track recieved heavy airplay and has since become a classic tune (James and Marie would reunite to perform the song at the 2004 BET Awards a few months before James' death). There's a Deluxe Edition of the album containing the 12" versions along with their instrumental versions and an additional disc with the live performance of the Long Beach Show (from July 30,1981).
