Biography

Ricky J is a DJ/rapper from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, who is best known for the single "No Means No", which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Canada single sales chart.

His debut album, Lose Control, which included the single "No Means No", was released in 2001 on Warner Bros. Records.

He later left Warner Bros. to sign with an independent label, Evolution Records, in 2002, with whom he released his second album, WHITEBOYS. His singles off the WhiteBoys album "Hold On" & "Got a Man" gained much radio play and video play, however due to the label's small budget the marketing and promotion was not done and the album was simply a Promotional Album in Ricky J's eyes.

Since 2004 Ricky J has dedicated his efforts to reposition himself and learn the entire music business 360 degrees. Behind the scenes Ricky J has put his stamp on Co-Production, song writing,Management all the way to Artist Bookings. Ricky J has has worked with with artists such as Kay Slay, PitBull, Ron Browz, Lady GaGa, C&C Music Factory, Kaya Jones form The PussyCat Dolls, Dj Dave Armstrong and so on.

In late 2007 Ricky J also became the Music Director for Canada's hottest Urban Lifestyles Magazine "M.O.B" Music over Business.
