Biography

Robert Heslop is a 26 year old graduate in performing arts from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, United Kingdom.

He attended weekend theatre arts school for 13 years during childhood and was taught in the areas of dance, drama and singing. Singing was his strongest of the three and he took part in professional theatre such as the children's choir for the UK tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and as part of a backing choir singing with music legend Rod Stewart at St James' Park - Newcastle. Also with UK tour casts of Whistle Down the Wind and Evita at the Newcastle Theatre Royal and Sunderland Empire Theatre.

He also performed as a choir at Durham Cathedral, where he sang for the official November 11th service, along with choirs in other locations. One of his choir leaders was operatic singer Graeme Danby, performer of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and the English National Opera and alumni of the Royal Academy of Music.

" I started being fascinated with the arts when I was at such a young age. My sister was attending theatre school and so I decided to also join. I stayed for thirteen years and then went on to study performing arts at University, majoring in music performance.

I have seen a lot of trauma throughout my time growing up and I have taken the chance to write all of my pain and heartache into lyrics and ongoing pieces of random writing.

I started learning piano at a young age and was inspired to do so by Delta Goodrem. "
