Ross Baker is a musician from the United Kingdom. Between 1999 and 2011 Ross recorded ambient music under the name Second Thought, also synth music as Obliquity and lo-fi songs as The Curse of Kevin Carter.
At the start of 2012, Ross left these monikers behind and continued recording under his own name. He now makes music which combines live instrumentation, vocals, field recordings and occasional electronics, with a shift of focus towards a more nostalgic, human feel.
Ross is influenced by landscape photography, ghost stories and books about the paranormal, the open countryside, and the music of The Future Sound of London, Luc Ferrari and Mike Oldfield.
