"Reasons Not To Die (Demo)" is the first official release in 3 years by alternative pop artist Ryn Weaver following her debut LP The Fool on Interscope. The demo was released on Atlantic through Neon Gold Records in celebration of the label's 10th anniversary, and will feature alongside tracks by artists like Broods and Marina & the Diamonds (now known mononymously as Marina). In an Instagram post, Weaver revealed that the very personal track was the first she wrote following a mental breakdown, saying, "The song was originally written as an apology to my friends for being an ass hat on my birthday in the thick of a depressive episode, and not allowing all of the good to cut through my mental sludge. It’s a thank you and an apology to all of the people I love who have loved me through a very transitive period and stayed by my side regardless of my wild child antics."
