Following the release of their "Story of the Light" trilogy in 2018, SHINee took a 3-year hiatus due to the mandatory military enlistment of members Onew, Key and Minho. While the group was on hiatus, member Taemin focused on his solo career, releasing multiple albums. In February of 2021, SHINee made their much-anticipated comeback with their seventh album "Don't Call Me" with a title track of the same name. While "Don't Call Me" was the focus of promotions for the album, the members performed numerous tracks off of the album live, including "Heart Attack", "Marry You", "CODE", and "Kind". The album tackles multiple different genres, ranging from an R&B-inspired sound on "Marry You" to the power ballad "Kind". The album was nominated for various awards such as Album of the Year of the Daesang award at the Melon Music Awards, the Best K-pop Album at the Korean Music Awards, the Album Bonsang at the Golden Disk Awards, and the Album of the Year for the 1st Quarter at the Gaon Music Chart Awards.
