STandART is a synthfolk / darkwave band formed by Kalvis Kluburs in 2002 in Jelgava, Latvia. The band has released 3 albums and many maxi-singles. STandART have played concerts in the Baltic States, Finland, Sweden and Poland, including being the support act for such bands as Camouflage and De/Vision.

The band's first album Australia was nominated for the Best Debut 2007 at Latvian Music Awards and won recognition of DJs and music magazines, who underline that, although STandART’s musical direction is clear, the band manages to create a unique sound.

In November 2009, STandART released its 2nd studio album Autumn News. Just like "Australia", Autumn News was also produced in collaboration with Kaspars Tobis from the Latvian band Dzelzs Vilks in Sigulda, Latvia. Two songs – Pioneers and Autumn News – were a result of collaboration with Polish musician Hien.

In summer 2010, the band recorded the song Bez Miega Zirgi (Gas of Latvia Mix) for the compilation of Latvian independent artists "Strāvoklis". The song was produced in collaboration with Gas of Latvia and Sandris Savickis (Starring Two). In October 2010, STandART performed together with the Latvian singer-songwriter Goran Gora at the festvial "Bildes 2010". One of the songs, a new version of "Autumn News", was later re-released as a single - Autumn News (feat. Goran Gora).

In 2013, Kalvis and Mārtiņš started recording STandART’s 3rd album as a duo - this time in Jūrmala with Sandris Savickis (Starring Two). In early 2015, mixing of the album was started with Kaspars Tobis (Dzelzs Vilks). After 2.5 years spent recording, a new single "Fever" (Drudzis) was released in September 2015 followed by "Under The Cat-Fur-Coloured Sky" (Zem Kaķa Spalvas Krāsas Debesīm) and "Midsummer Fires" (Jāņugunis) in 2016 and "Runes" (Rūnas) in 2017.

At the beginning of 2017, Kalvis Kluburs and Sandris Savickis completed two remixes under STandART name for the Estonian band Forgotten Sunrise (their single "Dusturn" was published in April 2017). Finally, after 4 years of studio work, STandART's 3rd album Jūrasputnu Mistērijas: Mysteries Of The Seabirds was released in June 2017. Later that year, Jānis Traviņš (from Marta Migla) joined STandART. In early 2018, the band published another single – Kolka – from the album Jūrasputnu Mistērijas: Mysteries Of The Seabirds.

During the next years, Kalvis sang guest vocals in a couple of songs by Kaspars Tobis’s project 7synths . Meanwhile, STandART underwent several lineup changes, until the band became a duo. In 2022, a new single Gulbji was published in honour of 20 years of STandART, followed by English versions of the song – Swans – in 2023. In early 2024, the band gave a semi-acoustic performance at the Riga Zoo. Soon after, a STandART 22nd anniversary maxi-single 22 was released, and anniversary concerts (the first full concerts in 6 years) were announced along with lineup changes - the band's longtime manager/assistant Gatis Gavriļenko was brought in as the new bass synthesizer player.
