Biography
Sheikh Saad ibn Sa`id Al-Ghamidi (سعد بن سعيد الغامدي), (born 1968) is a Qari', or reciter of the Qur'an as well as a Saudi Islamic theologian (`alim) and imam. Born in 1968 (h. 1387) in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Sheikh Saad memorized the entire Qur'an in 1990 (h. 1410).
He studied in Dammam, where among other things, he was active among the circles of huffaz (or those who have memorized the entire Qur'an). His education includes a degree in Usul ad-Din from the University of Shariia as well as an ijaaza in al-Isnad (h. 1417). He is the imam of the Kanoo mosque in Dammam, and previously was imam in Austria, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Saad Al-Ghamidi is married with three children.
In Ramadhan 2009, the Sheikh was given the previlage of leading Taraweeh Salaat in Al-Masjid al-Nabawi in Medinah, Saudi Arabia.
