Safet Isović (1936 – September 2, 2007) was a prominent sevdalinka performer from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Throughout his career, which started in 1956, Isović performed at music festivals and won many of them which has contributed to the prevalence and popularity of the sevdalinka. He won the Golden Microphone award in the former Yugoslavia and 35 silver and gold record awards.

He died in Sarajevo, on September 2, 2007. On September 3, 2007 he was buried at Ali Pasha's Mosque. At a memorial service held at the National Theatre of Bosnia and Herzegovina he was called the Father of Sevdalinka by Beba Selimović. The Minister of Culture and Sport, Emir Hadžihafizbegović said that Safet Isović did great deeds both when he spoke and when he sang. Ivica Šarić, of the Sarajevo Opera, said that the world was left now without the best interpreter of sevdalinka.Many would agree that he had one of the best voices in Bosnia if not in the world.
