Ryan DeRobertis (Baltimore, Maryland, 2 February 1993), known by his stage name Skylar Spence, but mostly known as Saint Pepsi, is an American electronic musician and singer who grew up in Farmingville and studied music for two years at Boston College.

His project Saint Pepsi started in December 2012, which has been one of the biggest names in Vaporwave both musically and aesthetically. He is currently based in Brooklyn.

Stereogum named it their "band to watch" in July 2013, calling their music "addictive and fun".

Pitchfork praised the release of "Mr. Wonderful" the lead track from the 2014 EP Gin City, which was hosted on music blog Gorilla vs. In February, Gorilla vs. Bear also hosted the premiere of the track "Baby".

In June 2014, Saint Pepsi joined a tour with Painted Palmsll after signing to Carpark Records, whose roster includes artists such as Beach House, Cloud Nothings, Toro y Moi and Memory Tapes.

DeRobertis's musical style has been described under the categories of future funk, vaporwave, disco pop, future pop, liquid disco, slow jam

He also incorporates unconventional sounds into his music, using sounds from, for example, Mario Kart 64. He commonly samples pop, funk and disco songs.

The Fader calls his arrival on the Top 40 hits "refreshing", and states that his music is "restless, nostalgic and curious sounding."Ryan has been quoted as saying, "I'm drawn to melodious sounds, complex chord structures; quirky synths and drums; and I like to take pop to acapellas and see how I can warp the songs while keeping the melody almost completely intact
