Salt House is a Scottish acoustic folk band currently comprising Ewan MacPherson (vocals, guitars), Jenny Sturgeon (vocals, keys, guitar), and Lauren MacColl (fiddle, viola, vocals).
2013 saw the release of their debut ‘Lay Your Dark Low’ described as “the multifaceted work of a significant new collective” (Scottish Herald). They subsequently released "Undersong" (2018), "Huam" (2020), and "Working For Zeus" (2021).
Their fifth album, "Riverwoods", was released in 2023. Written entirely by the band, the album features vocal songs juxtaposed with instrumental tunes.
