Biography
Sam Cintron is a prolific singer/songwriter and fine artist. He began writing songs as a child, while growing up on the mission field in Guatemala. Sam to date has written over 150 songs in English and Spanish. Under the Vida label he wrote hits such as Alguien Me Toca. His song, Somos Hermanos, was performed at Amor al Rescate, a collaboration of Hispanic Gospel recording artists including Roberto Orellana, The Cintrons, Rene Gonzalez and others. Sam has shared the stage with Martha Munizzi, Paul Baloche, Rita Springer and Marcos Vidal.
Sam’s first album, Songs from the Secret Place, was a collection of love songs and lamentations reflecting a year long, introspective journey. His new project Standing in Babylon, is a soul cry filled with passionate and haunting lyrics drawn from a very personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Both albulms were relased under the Hope Center Arts label
Also a fine artist, Sam has a body of work including paintings, sculpture and art installations, that can best be described as both whimsical and poignant. From the years 1990 to 2000, through his own gallery, Sam represented world renowned artists Alberto Ulloa, Orlando Cuevas and Duda Penteado, curating and organizing art shows in the United States and Brazil.
The concerts are a blend of music, storytelling, drama, dance, video, fine art, and performance art. Sam is currently a co-founder of Hope Center Arts and also the Pastor of Worship Arts for Hope Center Tabernacle, serving his Senior Pastors Mario & Leigh Gonzalez. Sam, his wife Liz and his three children Sam, Jacquelyn and Faith currently reside in New Jersey.
