Biography

Sam Watters (born 23 July 1970, Camp Springs, Maryland) is a songwriter and record producer, previously of the group Color Me Badd, who often works with his songwriting partner Louis Biancaniello. The pair have written and produced hits such as Jessica Simpson's "I Wanna Love You Forever", and the #1 single "I Believe" by Fantasia Barrino, "I'm Outta Love," and "One Day In Your Life" by Anastacia. While in Color Me Badd, Watters co-wrote many of their songs, including three #1 hit singles: "I Wanna Sex You Up," "I Adore Mi Amor," and "All 4 Love."
Watters recently wrote and produced "A Public Affair" performed by Jessica Simpson, "When I See U" performed by Fantasia Barrino, which was a Billboard R&B #1 for 8 weeks, "Love Like This" performed by Natasha Bedingfield featuring Sean Kingston, and cowrote "Break Anotha", Blake Lewis' debut single. He also wrote and / or produced 4 songs on the upcoming debut release from "X Factor" winner Leona Lewis. In September 2006, he married former American Idol contestant Tamyra Gray, his girlfriend of two years, with whom he wrote "I Believe".
On December 6, 2007, Watters was nominated for a 50th Annual Grammy Award Best Song for his songwriting credits on When I See U.
