    12 tracks

Preceded by the upbeat and inspiring single, "Brave" (so far peaking at #61 on the Hot 100 and #20 on the Digital Songs chart) Sara Bareilles's majorly-anticipated third major label record (and fourth album overall) The Blessed Unrest was released on July 16, 2013. Bareilles wrote most of the album alone but "Brave", "I Choose You", "Eden" and "Islands" were all co-writes.

The album was produced by John O'Mahony, Kurt Uenala, Mark Endert and Bareilles herself and in spots is more experimental in sound than her past recordings. The album was recorded in early 2013 in Los Angeles and at the Electric Lady Studios in New York City.

The album is the follow-up to 2010's Kaleidoscope Heart which has nearly gone gold.
