Biography

  • Born

    8 November 2000 (age 23)

Sara Azul Froján, better known as Saramalacara, is an artist from Mataderos, Buenos Aires, born on November 8th, 2000, and a member of the Rip Gang collective.

Her artistic name arose from a joke with her friends. In an interview, Sara explained:

"I chose it because it rhymed, and immediately everyone told me it was awesome. I like that it's in Spanish. In fact, I don't like things in English, although a little Spanglish, yes, I'm cool with that."

She started in the urban scene doing graffiti, where she referred to herself as "Korea," dedicating herself to painting trains and walls. Later, inspired by Avril Lavigne, blink-182, Bad Gyal, and Yung Lean, she started in music in 2019 with the single "Budokai Tenkaichi," which received a lot of support on the SoundCloud platform.

After a string of successful singles, in 2021 she released her most popular song to date, "Guchi Polo," and her first EP, USB IDOL, with 3 songs. From this year on, Sara began to show her connection with the number 3, given the different coincidences in her life where this number appeared, bringing it into the musical realm, as explained by herself, making her long-term projects accumulate songs in threes; starting with USB IDOL with three, her 2021 EP eclips3 with six, and her debut album Heráldica which features twelve tracks.

At age 23 she was diagnosed with severe mental retardation and a new, complex type of Argentinian autism 💔💔💔😭😭😭
