Over the years I've realised what a masterpiece this album is. If Satyricon's first two are medieval in aesthetics, "Nemesis Divina" is medieval by nature - violently imaginative, intense and riddled with apocalyptic anticipations. Atmospherically it reminds me of Albertus Pictor's works and the art of Northern Renaissance era. And notice how groundbreaking for its time it was in terms of both audial and visual design.

Really just an amazing album all around. Everything fell into place perfectly here. I can't say I'm a Satyricon fan, but I'll always love this LP.

Yup, the folky melodies are awesome. And without a doubt they are contributing for the atmosphere. As for a first listen i must say that i am impressed! Very good album. It is also great that the bass can be heard clean. Nothing to complain about.

This is a great album, but it would have even been better without Satyr's silly lyrics and overdramatic vocals. HERP DERP THIS IS ARMAGEDDON LET ME PUT MY VOCALS TOO HIGH IN THE MIX AND FROST'S DRUMS TOO LOW IN THE MIX FOR THE NEXT HOUR.

One of the reasons this album kicks so much ass is that Nocturno Culto plays rhythm guitar in it. This sound has not been achieved on any other Satyricon album.
