Sex Mob is an experimental jazz outfit from New York that has slid readily into the mainstream via National Public Radio, Saturday Night Live, and MTV. Lead by Steve Bernstein (slide-trumpet), the other band members include: Briggan Krauss (alto saxophone), Tony Scherr (upright bass), and Kenny Wollesen (drums).
Their most recent CD, "Sexotica" released in 2006, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Contemporary Jazz Album.
Sex Mob has been produced by Scott Harding (who produced such artists as Medeski, Martin and Wood, and the Wu Tang Clan).
