Biography
Sfinx is the name of more than one artist:
1. Synth-dripped melodies, earthshaking drops and lush electronic soundscapes — welcome to the world of SFINX, an emerging artist currently making his mark on the global music scene. His style is a perfect blend of EDM and dubstep, fusing the infectious rhythms of artists like Marshmallow to the lush soundscapes of acts like Deadmau5. Found rocking an edgy cat mask, the ascending artist is a professional drummer by trade. This means his tracks are brimming with organic instrumentation and studio-quality drum patterns. The fierce up and comer has been compared to acts like Skrillex, Reaper and Pixel Terror — with his sound spanning a range of feelings from fun and upbeat all the way to aggressive and experimental. His songs are the perfect soundtrack to gamers and EDM fans alike, creating an irresistibly inviting sound that is accessible to people from all walks of life.
2. A Romanian progressive rock band. Founded in Bucharest, Romania in 1962. Activity ended in 1994 Bassist Corneliu Bibi Ionescu was the only founding member to stay in the band until the end. The most famous of all the band members was undoubtedly Dan Andrei Aldea, a legendary figure in Romanian rock scene, as well as an excellent musician (guitar, violin, voice, piano, synthesizer, electric violin). He used to be the group's leader and main composer.
Peter Gabriel's Genesis and many other bands conceptually influenced Sfinx, but their sound remained unique.
