Shawn Christopher is an African American dance music singer from Chicago, Illinois.
She started her career as a touring backing vocalist for R&B singer Chaka Khan from 1982 to 1985, and is also a former member of My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult and Sonia Dada.
Shawn Christopher is best known for several dance hits in the 1990s, such as Another Sleepless Night (1991), Don't Lose the Magic (1992), and Sweet Freedom (1998), as well as for providing vocals on Lil' Louis's #1 house hit French Kiss.
She also provided backing vocals on Jimmy Somerville's Heartbeat.
Her brother is the R&B singer, keyboardist, and producer, Gavin Christopher.
