Biography
Originally starting out playing in hardcore and metal bands the pop punk quartet really just wanted to play music that was influenced by bands they listened to while growing up. Recruiting former The Legacy (Visible Noise) drummer in 2008, the line up for Ship To Shore was complete and an infectious and distinctive sound was born. Hailing from Sheffield, Ship To Shore have supported Set Your Goals, Crime in Stereo, The Wonder Years and play a similar kind of hardcore-influenced pop punk. Having taken every opportunity to play a ton of shows around the UK, they’ve already made a name for themselves in the pop punk scene.
After a heap of successful shows and tours, the band signed to Broken Night Records and began to write new material for their ‘Let’s Not Get Caught’ EP and recorded in the summer of 2009. This “ultra solid” (punktastic.com) release is filled with “hooks and melodies that would make New Found Glory, The Starting Line and Jimmy Eat World proud. Expect this Ship to go far!”. Ship To Shore featured on Big Cheese Magazines ‘09 Yearbook free cover CD in December alongside the likes of Linkin Park, Alexisonfire and Converge and featured in the introducing section of the same edition.
