Reading what Nick has to say about the impact music has had on his life... He must surely realize that HIS music has had an impact on OUR lives. He expresses it so eloquently, even in broken English, and especially in his music. Thanks, Nick, for the memories that will linger until the lights shut down one last time. Like my memory of learning to ride a bicycle, it's not how many times you fall down that matters -- it's how many times you get back up and try again. Music has picked me up and helped me get back up many, many times. Thanks-- you contributed to that in a very nice way.

There is no doubt a soundtrack to my life. It began in the womb hearing my mother's heartbeat and who knows what else I could hear, or feel at that time-- the day of my "birth" into this world of lights and oxygen- a place far different from the wet cocoon I lived in for nine months-- the warmth of my mother's touch, the softness of her young breast--the kindness of her voice and the laughter I heard from my father--my first steps--my first ride on a bicycle ( I fell many times before I learned to balance)--elementary school--high school and those GIRLS ( I fell MANY more times here)-- hanging out with my friends John and Frank, college, falling in love with my wife Cindi--our wedding day (and night) the gasps of breath from our first son - handed to me with his umbilical cord still attached to his exhausted but happy mom-Yuck- what IS that stuff?--our second son, still attached again, but this time I was ready for it-- watching us all grow up, and even now listening to Side Liner.

Nice journey, nice soundtrack, still miles to go before I sleep... I guess you could say to a certain degree, that my musical "library" here on Last.fm is the soundtrack that I want to keep hearing. That and the thousands of other songs in here somewhere and in my personal audio library.
