Biography
Simplificação por Nivelamento (Simplification by Levelling) was created in the rainy summer of 2011, with the objective of capturing the sounds of the harsh nature of Mafra, the project creator's hometown. The humid winds coming from the sea, the constant rain and hilly terrain create a very harsh microclimate.
Thus, Simplificação por Nivelamento's music tries to process the weather and sensations of this harsh land to create short soundscapes of sparse drones and field recordings, to convey feelings of isolation and desolation.
