Went from hating this, to kind of loving it, slowly and steadily, I still dislike some parts of it like DYWTYLM, but maybe they'll grow on me too, I had to come back to this album, it wouldn't leave my mind, it left an impression even though that was initially negative one, now I find myself listening to it more and more often. I absolutely get why some people hate this, especially considering I was in that camp too, but man it just kinda got me.

I think this album is aging well almost a year in. I haven't listened to it a whole lot since the first month it dropped but I just started thinking of some of these songs and how good they are

If this album is what you consider "shambles," then I hope this genre is never fixed.

Didn't think I'd love this as much as I do, but here we are. Strong AOTY contender for me

After listening to the whole album, I feel the strong urge to wash my ears with something truly amazing, in order to successfully counterbalance the amount of toxic waste that got into them, and to alleviate the pain I've been through and I'm still feeling.

My first impression is that I like how they arrange their djentcore (?) sections - the pop approach makes it very easy to listen to and their drummer ties everything nicely together, but I don't really like the "genre bending" sections because I don't think they're really doing any genre bending, they're mostly playing with gluing textures and segments together, which, granted, is cool if you like that, but goes nowhere structurally or creatively. I get where the Imagine Dragons comparisons come from in more mellow moments like that. I hope they're able to refine that in the future or go back to how they handled moments of build up and release on earlier releases because while they weren't the most creative in the past either, I think they did it with more elegance. Curious to see if my impression changes after a few more listens.

How many genres do you want to mix together? Sleep Token: YES ....Seriously, I have never heard something like this before. And usually it's not my type of music. But this album caught my attention. Very interesting. You never know what to expect next. Very impressive.

The more I listen to it, the more its sinking in: this album is magnificent in so many ways. I mean they combined all these styles before but it seems so much more refined now. They really are getting better and better and I'm all here for it. Really been a while since a band excited me that much

Although their first two showed a lot of promise (The Offering, Hypnosis) they still felt too disparate. This work feels more tightly woven together, though there are still jarring switches of genre it's closer to feeling like a real cohesive piece of work. I just kinda wish they'd turn the auto-tune down on some tracks. The title track is astonishing.

I'm a very casual listener to music in a sense that I don't debate trends or genres and all and I actually try hard to like most songs of an album in any genre, however this is not the case... I just can't find any song that I don't like, of course, DYWTYLM seems the weaker of the bunch and still I learn to like it a lot. This whole thing is perfect.

Alright, I’ve listened to the album a few times through. Ik you obsessive tiktok fans will eat me up for this but honestly, the album is formatted horribly. They put all of the heavier songs at the beginning of the album and the album just dies once you get to “Ascensionism.” There’s way too much solo Vessel stuff with piano + pop drums on the second half of the LP. Sure, it’s broken up occasionally by small metalcore sections but the other parts seem to drag on for far too long. Also, you have one of the best drummers in mxc and barely utilize him outside of the singles… Don’t get me wrong, the non singles arent bad tracks but they shouldnt have stacked the heavy hitters exclusively at the beginning of the album. I mean, listen to the first 2:00 of each song after “vore;” they all start off with VERY little energy. I’m happy lots are enjoying the album but I’m just being honest and critical of my listening experience.

Excuse me, I can't hear you out of the head-disjointing finale of "Take me back to Eden". Oh yeah, you're right ... in a wrong way. The second part is a slow burner. As much as the heavy parts are more scarce in the second part the album is overall balanced as a knife with a short heavy hilt with longer, light blade - it can still cut you very deep. And what is TicTok?

lol yeah that finale to title track was insane. like I said, there’s still those intermittent metalcore beats that are nice, I just think overall the metaphorical “blade” is a bit too light towards the second half. I agree, it cuts, but I think if you switched the summoning or vore down there with the slower tracks, you’d have a more well rounded weapon. thank you for being critical and respectful of my opinion <3

For the core related genre i think this is the absolute best album so far, I'm more waiting on other genres tho.
