Smashproof are a hip hop group from South Auckland, New Zealand signed to Move The Crowd Records and consisting of friends Young Sid, Deach and Tyree. Formed in 2005, they released their debut album as a group in 2009, titled The Weekend. It featured the hit single Brother, featuring Gin Wigmore, which managed to break a 23 year old NZ record for the longest consecutive run at number one by a local act on the New Zealand Singles Chart. The next two singles from the album, It's Friday and Ordinary Life have also peaked in the Top 10.

The name Smashproof is a play on the word bulletproof. The group has toured with hip hop legend Jay-Z.
