Smith Vinson, a versatile musician and singer-guitarist, embarked on a dynamic musical journey from his early recordings in psychedelic rock to his later venture into country folk. His 1969 single "10-7 At Midnight / Hallucinations" on Siddy Records showcased his fuzzy guitar prowess, particularly highlighted in the mesmerizing track "Hallucinations." Transitioning into a different sonic landscape, Vinson's 1973 release "One More For The Cow" under Playboy Records delved into the realms of country folk, showcasing his evolution as an artist. Notably, the promotional LP, adorned with a "PROMOTION - Not For Sale" sticker, garnered attention and was reissued on CD in 2010 by the South Korean label Big Pink. Before his solo endeavors, Vinson was a pivotal member of the band "Renegades," further solidifying his contribution to the music scene.
