Reckoning Night is the fourth full-length studio album by the band Sonata Arctica, as well as the first to feature keyboardist Henrik Klingenberg.

At the time of release, Reckoning Night was the band's heaviest and most commercial album. It is composed of bleak, mid-tempo songs with a heavy emphasis on simpler riffs and melodies. Though, "The Boy Who Wanted to Be A Real Puppet" and "Wildfire" mark the introduction of the bizarre free-form songwriting of the band's next album, Unia. Lyrically, the album deals with themes of desperation, psychosis, irony and paranoia. Many songs act as a Gothic short story akin to the works of Edgar Allan Poe.

All music and lyrics by Tony Kakko, except for "My Selene" by Jani Liimatainen.
