Biography
Ukraine born, Israel based electronic music producer Andy Yakovlev formed his first musical project 'ProSect' at the beginning of the current millenium. Andy's aim is to explore progressive and innovative sounds. Through an uncompromising mix of experimentation and self-expression, Andy's music draws from a wide range of genres to create a new and futuristic sound. His music is forward thinking while still touching on many genres and the roots of music.
Sonify is Andy's journey into progressive music. A mixture of funk, house and electro, with a soft psychedelic touch, Sonify has a deep club sound, which is also well suited to daytime dancing in the sun. A debut release was a collaboration with Threshold Pructions, "No More Silence" - a 12" on Baroque Records which made it to the top place at the BBC Radio buzz charts, picked by iDJ magazine as a track of the month and played by the biggest DJ's on the house scene.
