True was the third studio album by British band Spandau Ballet, released in March 1983. It was heavily influenced by jazz, soul, and R&B. It reached #1 on the UK charts, the top twenty in America and in numerous countries around the world. The title track was a top five single in America, and in 1991 was sampled by the spiritual hip-hop act PM Dawn on their single "Set Adrift on Memory Bliss", R&B music act Lloyd Polite "You (f. Lil Wayne)", Filipino singer Arnee Hidalgo The Philippine Singer from the Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo and on rapper Nelly's track "N Dey Say".

Other singles from the album included "Gold" (a #2 UK hit and a Top 30 hit in the U.S.), "Lifeline", "Communication" and "Pleasure". Later releases by the band never equalled the success of True, and they broke up six years later.
