Nice album, but compared to TMV's first studio outing, this is but a mere puddle compared to the massive ocean that is Deloused.

I got into At The Drive In through Fugazi, I also like bands like Radiohead, Tool, Porcupine Tree as well as Hardcore emo, punk, death metal etc... Sparta have a massive range demonstrated by this album among others

I became interested in Sparta via the ATDI connection, but when this album was released it stood as an excellent piece of work on its own. Was fortunate to see the band live in L.A. back in the Fall of '02. Still a great album after all these years.
