Biography
There is one active "Sprout" band and two that have broken up.
1.) Jamband/Funk/Rock from Saginaw, MI (1998 - Present)
Over 11 years ago Sprout™ took root on the jamband scene and they have been growing ever since. Sprout is one of the longest playing MI jambands and they have the developed sound to show for it. With their large songbook of over 50 originals Sprout is a force to be reckoned with. Sprout is currently recording their next album and is booking another national tour for 2012.
2.) Punk/Ska band from Syosset, Long Island,NY. (1997-2003)
Formed in 1997 and thrust into Long Island, NY's ska scene, Sprout emerged as one of the more diverse bands in its home music scene. Refusing to be held down to one style of music, Sprout concentrated on just that…the music. Playing whatever felt right and spreading positive vibes. Catering to those with an open mind, and hoping to open a few closed minds as well. In recent months, Sprout was heavily supported by local radio stations and had been featured on compilations with other successful artists. Most notably, Sprout opened for the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, as well as playing on the NY date for the Vans™ Warped Tour in 2001.
3.) Surf Rock band from Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany (2006 - 2009)
Three charming lads from Lüneburg, strongly inspired by Cobain, the Beatles and the Doors,
Dust births of their generation to the asphalt courts to escape the village and corded tracks to
the stages of the city climbed to check your emotions are humorous and danceable to manipulate.
