Biography
With their explosive stage show and their uncompromising confidence, this 5 piece rock act has been winning over audiences across the country. Produced by former Creed Bassist and Dark New Day frontman Brett Hestla (Framing Hanley, Tantric, Dark New Day), their debut album Stick in the Eye propelled the band on to the national touring circuit and gained them an impressive following of fans. Along with tracks from Vayden, and Transmit Now, Star City Meltdown's track "Ready or Not" was featured on the nationally distributed Freshmen 15 Compilation Album (SMG/ WARNER MUSIC GROUP). Shortly after completing a headlining tour of the country, Star City Meltdown was asked to open for Memphis, TN Hard Rock Legends Saliva on their Greatest Hits Winter Tour in December of 2010. Shortly after the Saliva/Star City Meltdown tour, the band embarked on a headlining tour and performed an artist showcase at Florida Music Festival 2011.
Star City Meltdown returned to the studio with producer Brett Hestla in April of 2011 to begin work on their follow-up to Stick In The Eye. When asked about the new album in a recent interview, Bassist Cody Cupp described it as "Much more mature and dynamic. It's everything our fans love about Star City Meltdown, but it's certainly much different than Stick In The Eye. The songs are heavier, but they still contain great melodies and hooks. We can't wait for everyone to get their hands on this record."
Star City Meltdown is currently touring the country, and has plans for a national tour to support the release of the upcoming album. The new album will be available for purchase in-stores and online July 5th.
