I've listened to it a four times but it hasn't grown on me apart from a few songs here and there. I'd put it on par with the latest releases.

It’s an excellent addition to what’s becoming a rather singular body of work. It’s a complete artistic statement, oblique and challenging yet rewarding to finish. Key to this for me is the collaborations that make up everything musical and otherwise aesthetic about this release. Beyond that the vital thread this time is the conviction behind his delivery, vocally and in some of his more clever lyrics. It’s also probably the most interesting of his solo albums from the standpoint of rhythm, especially on the more electronic material. It spans different styles of music yes but overall it is to me an instant classic of the genre that is Steven Wilson.

I was disappointed with ttb and didn't listened to tfb. So this album is a great comeback, I can feel his roots in thc, revisiting his best combinations and references. It feels fresh, intricate, heavy and light at the same time. A nice sound cocktail. It's a delight 👌🏼

Not since HCE has a SW album grabbed me like this one. I wasn't expecting much at all with the singles that he chose to release. But the other tracks are fucking stellar. Love that he's finally fully embracing and experimenting with the electronic part of his musical personality on a solo record, it's been a long time coming from the time he was teasing it pre-To The Bone.

Fuck, it's been a while since I felt such goosebumps listening to a Steven Wilson record on the first listen. I expected it to be mid at best and well, here we have a strong AOTY contender.

M'man, go out and breathe some fresh air, you can't possibly be this mad about someone who just makes music.
