Wow besties, it's so great that for the past couple of years the Sugababes have been sailing smooth and haven't been caught in any drama! It would be such a shame if Heidi had to rear her blonde head and stir the pot... 🙄

December is here! The 25th is the most joyous of holidays, aka the anniversary of The Lost Tapes! Here's my MKSmas Tree, with which I'm celebrating: https://twitter.com/GothicNarcissus/status/1731437719698436275

God, I'd wreck my lifetime savings to book them the recording studio myself, but I'm afraid SoMeBoDy's fans wouldn't shut up about it. 🙄 More realistically, I'd be happy with them recording the O2 special concert and making a live album out of it.

free consulting: the way to make that the most compelling (and actually feasible) would be to re-record a handpicked, thoughtfully sequenced collection of songs that feel the most “OG sugababes” out of everything that came after…essentially the original trio imagining what an ideal second sugababes album would’ve been. not just hits, but deep cuts too – nothing off limits. the new versions could be faithful reproductions or entirely new arrangements; the only priorities are quality and a natural evolution of the original sugababes vibe. as a project it would be unprecedented in pop history, would be likely to get a ton of media coverage, and has the potential to make for a very, very good album

Since The Lost Tapes got out I've been on peak girlband obsession, the likes of which I hadn't seen even as a teenager, to the point that even my straight flatmates have learned to tell all six Sugababes apart and who replaced whom.

After hearing some recordings from the latest gigs, I really wish they recorded and released a live album: it's be a great way to honour their legacy (and give some classic songs a "current lineup makeover") before moving on to new music. 💚

I think that's because it could very well have been sung by a single girl – in fact, any given solo pop star – and sound pretty much the same, which kind of misses the point of the Sugababes.

Not the Sugababes actually making the Yuletide gay. As in, giving the gays something worth surviving family dinners / lunches / gatherings for.
