Bob Mould's career has been one of the most rewarding to follow. Sugar was like an all Bob Husker Du with beefed up production. By the time his solo album Silver Age rolled around after many stylistic detours, Mould had returned to the power trio configuration he's kicked so much ass with since the 80s.

To be fair, Bob Mould must have had no idea that kind of acoustic guitar playing would be used as background music for home improvement shows and the like over the course of the '90s and later.

@Adrian. yes, totaly worth it. Sugar emphasises on the more pop side of things that happened in Husker Du, maybe kinda similair with albums like Flip your Wig or Candy Apple Grey.
