Biography
I was a dark and stormy night… actually, the Surf Guitar Villains began in 2000 as a recording project with a limited release EP called Maladjusted Universe. It got better from there.
Four CD releases later, as well as travel to 3 states, Surf Guitar Villains emerged as a band in the Phoenix Arizona area, playing live gigs and open mikes to whoever happens to be about.
The music is surf, folk, rock, punk, blues, punk, low-fi …and very much garage music. It is retro in origin and whimsical at times. They hope to never be covered in American Idol, and just want their cult status and weekends free.The fifth album is in the works as of this update, and if you happen to be in Arizona you can look them up on their myspace website (thesurfvillains) and send them a note to ask if they are playing. No two shows are ever alike with the Villains.
