Biography

Sluts Biog

Discography:
Pot sounds (Delerium Records - Delec CD 078 2000)
Heavy Surf - US import compilation (Reptile Records - RR001)
Surf & Destroy (White Arsenic Records - Blzbob666)
Talk Live at Temple Hall - UK compilation
Scarytale In Olde York - CD EP ( White Arsenic Records - 4Q CL1FF)

In the bleak winter of 1999 three bands burnt out - Suicidal Flowers, Gods
Little Monkeys and even the Incinerators, incinerated. From the ashes rose
the Surf Sluts.

It was time for TAT! No more hippy psychedelics, no more soulful country
pop, no more eighties drum machine-based toss with gurning bass player (now
lead guitar) ……so Pot Sounds was born.

Pot Sounds - “the band meet The Beach Boys, and terrorise them back to
California with just a touch of energetic rock & roll, a soupcon of tribal
rhythms and a hint of pagan doo-wop” - Delerium promo

Following this dodgy, rather tinny first attempt at world pop domination
(although it is rather fun and cheap - unless you buy it from Delerium -
when it’s cheaper to buy it from www.surfsluts.co.uk), came Surf & Destroy.

Surf & Destroy - “influences from the 50's 60's and 70's The Surf Sluts are
like The MC5 meets Chuck Berry, Hank Williams and The Beach Boys on drugs.
Psychotic rock up to it's eyeballs in speed, bleach and cheap booze” -
Delerium promo

Surf & Destroy also available from www.surfsluts.co.uk

…And as D-ream once said “things can only get better” but they didn’t - and
here it is…

The EP Scary Tale In Olde York - a cross between “Mistletoe and Wine” as
sung by the bastard offspring of Scrooge and the Childcatcher from Chitty
Bang Bang with “Little Drummer Boy” as sung by Bing Crosby and David Bowie.

Influences range from Showaddywaddy (‘they use the lyric 'bop showaddywaddy’
- Ally Fogg - The Big Issue in the North) to Showaddywaddy (‘they use the
lyric 'bop showaddywaddy’ - Ally Fogg - The Big Issue in the North) and
even the obscure Showaddy before waddy joined.
