Came to this record as a fanboy of Mitchell Froom's production and work with Latin Playboys and Los Lobos (as well as his solo album Dopamine), and his work is as great as ever on this album, but Suzanne Vega wrote some terrific songs and her voice is gorgeous, so instead of it being a situation where his production dresses up a bland album, it's a situation where his inventive production and arrangements add to and complement an already great piece of work. This one deserves a lot more attention and love than it's gotten over the years, IMO.

It's so hard to me decide if her best album is 99.9 F° or Songs In Red And Gray. But, no doubt, this is an excellent album.

How many albums are there where can you say you sincerely love & appreciate every track? The track arrangement is perfect too. Aged between 14 - 16, this was one of my soundtracks to those days of discovery!
