2. Sweet Jane was a Dutch (Blues)Rock band from the early nineties.
Named after the classic Sweet Jane.
They nearly made it in to mainstream music after competing in a Dutch battle of the bands called "De Grote Prijs". However, they ended up just outside of the finals.
After the lack of success the lead-singer Dick Verhoef left the band and the band finally disbanded after about one year.

Rick Mensink : Drums and Percussion
Wim Holsappel : Bassguitar
Other bands:
Gerrit Veldman was guitarist and Rick Mensink played drums for the Prodigal Sons before founding Sweet Jane.
Wim Holsappel is also member of Holsappel and Band of Glory.
Gerrit Veldman and Bennie Veldman also perform together as The Veldman Brothers
