the bonus track version already has its own page just scrobble under that having the standard edition use the cover of a separate release doesn't make sense

It´s incredible this being almost 25 years old. When it was released, I was amazed, but I thought this will be one of the records only real music enthusiasts know. Two years after - 13 year old kids wearing SOAD shirts - that was shocking for me.

last fm sucks with tagging and instead shows the listing to one of their demos due to the fact they were all self-titled, just like their first album

Also, for a band that was largely known for their more melodic efforts later on, and got so popular their most famous song is the most viewed metal song in all of youtube, this album is EASILY the most violent and unhinged album to have come out of that whole late 90's-early 2000's alternative metal/nu metal/post-Nirvana and Faith No More/Mr. Bungle scene. No song in any of those band's discographies can even approach the insanity of 'Soil' or 'Mind'.

I really love the hardcore influences found here (Know, CUBErt, Soil etc), and the way they manage to mix it with everything else from the alt-rock to the thrash-y metal influences, and that's best demonstrated by Serj's amazing performance here. Seriously, this is one of my favorite metal vocal performances ever - There is nothing he won't do in this album. I think the band really lost something which made them unique when they decided to lean-back those influences in favor of a more alternative rock type sound in order to make Serj sing more and yell less. I know that's what Serj (and his vocal chords lol) wanted, and I know it wasn't completely abandoned (B.Y.O.B. sounds like it could've been made around the time of this album), but as a whole this record will always crystallize what I love about this band the best.
