The ROOTLESS was a rock band formed in 2009. They were picked up by LDH (a talent company run by the lead member of Japanese boy band EXILE) soon after the release of their first mini album "Essence", and their major debut was in 2010 with the song "One day", used as a theme song in the animated series One Piece. Their only full length album, "The ROOTLESS", was released in 2011. They separated from LDH at the end of 2012 and the bass player left the band. They released two singles independently in 2013, "BLACK" and "WHITE". The guitarist left the band at the end of 2013. The remaining members changed the band's name to "ROOTLESS" in 2014. The band announced their breakup in December 2015.
