Biography
In the back streets of Brooklyn, NY in the early days of the 1980’s, TallManJones was the front runner for one of the worst gangs of the hood. Although he is a tall, Irish white man, his ruthlessness soon brought him to a position at the head of some serious pipe-hitting black men. Years of drugs and cold night alcohol binges lead tall man to believe in a higher power. Soon, he fronted one of the biggest prostitution rings of the century. His ho’s and pimps were respected throughout all of North America, bringing him the profits of millions of dollars.
One day, while sorting out his boys with a high caliber pistol, he was arrested for 121 counts of prostitution soliciting, drug possession and sales, as well as several break and enters around town. In total, TallMan spent a solid 10 years in a Taiwan prison, where he learned his new love for half-assed piano riffs and sick drum beats mixed with lyrics from his experience in the hood. He also learned some of the core values of life (i.e. How to light a cigarette with toothpaste and metal bars, how to slow his heart to a near-dead pace, and the values of pinching-off early).
Since his term in prison, he moved to (and currently resides in) Ottawa, Canada, where he met up with his band/crew. Although they have not officially released many ep’s or albums, they are a prominent up and coming Experimental/Electronic band in the Ottawa scene. They have been know to collaborate with artists such as Gordon Bleu and El Bandito (also a part of the Ottawa scene). Since then El Bandito has become a permanent member of the Tall Man Jones Band.
