This isn't nearly as cool as sashahen's comment below but when I first discovered this album (and subsequently this band) on Grooveshark it was some remastered version from around 2005 so that was the date the album had on it. I got into the album pretty hard, all under the assumption that it was contemporary music made like five years prior. I looked up the album a while later and saw it was from 1976 and I was utterly stunned! I had no idea that people had the capability to make music that sounded like this back then and it got me into a massive spiral of listening to this band and other acts in the scene. So I consider this a bit of a gateway album for myself and I felt very privileged to hear them play portions of this album live.

It's hard to pick a favorite when there are so many to choose from, with many of them being truly great, but this one may have it.

Rubycon has since surpassed all others (for now) in my esteem but Stratosfear is still an absolutely stunning piece of work. The title track is maybe my favorite single track from Krautrock/anything that can roughly be considered Krautrock -- just a killer groove that keeps adding more and more layers to its greatness as it goes. I have so much admiration for Tangerine Dream, Cluster, Conny Plank, Klaus Schulze, Kraftwerk and their other peers who were making this incredible, fearless music that still sounds ahead of its time going on 50 years ago.
