Biography

The man behind the Teamforest fuzz is Mr. Philipp BückleBorn and raised in the fine town Dortmund, Germany since '79. Teamforest is basically his very own expression of music at some point extended by guest musicians that may play some instruments better than he is able to. The general idea is to combine real instruments with electronics to create some strange kind of pop appeal. Generally more lofi than high-end production trying to use the electronics more as an editing tool. The last year was spent composing and recording the concept album «Leave» which leads into folkier regions of music. It's not a real concept album as Genesis would do it and it's also not a folk album as Alasdair Roberts would do it. It's just all about fear and loss and love thrown to the world with acoustic guitar and redundant beats.

Mr. Bückle started as a drummer and guitar player in an instrumental postrock combo called Jefferson as well as celebrating melancholic soundscapes under the name Forest. When electronica hit him hard the name changed into Teamforest because of the sporty appeal of all that crunchy beats. Until now he released some 7"es on Vanishing Vanity Music and Strandad Sjobuse Records in Sweden as well as Morr Music, Germany. In 2004 he released a web-only EP called «Let's get away from here» on the brilliant Starving But Happy label.Teamforest had – amongst many others – compilation appearances on 555 Recordings and Aesthetics in the USA as well as Genesungswerk in Germany. He has done remixes for international artists as Missouri, Laudanum, Margo, Kinderzimmer Productions, Transistor Six, Sugrcane, NQ and Turn Pale.Teamforest also contributed music to the award winning art project Soundwalk from New York City. Soundwalk provides trips through famous districts of New York and Paris pressed on a CD that leads you to all the important places while listening to it on your discman.

Teamforest's music was used on the Meat Packing District tour which won the 2005 Dalton Pen Award for multimedia-audio. Teamforest has formed an electronic band called Beth Kleist together with Nils Quak. This nice fellow normally releases as NQ on cool labels such as Progressive Form, Japan, I Can't Break You Break Records, England and just recently on Kitty Yo, Germany. An album called «An Evening Return» was released on the british Hippocamp label. Just now Beth Kleist have finished work on their – yet untitled – second album.
