This song is one the few Tears for Fears songs from the 80s that has a writing credit for Curt Smith (alongside Roland Orzabal, Ian Stanley and producer Chris Hughes).

The sample heard is a shipping forecast, read by Brian Perkins of BBC Radio 4 and goes as follows:

There are warnings of gales in Viking, Forties, Cromarty, Forth, Fisher, Dover, Wight, Portland, Plymouth, Finisterre, Sole, Lundy, Fastnet, Shannon, Rockall, Malin, Hebrides, Bailey, Fair Isle, Faroes and Southeast Iceland.
The general synopsis at one eight double-O: low just north of Viking, nine double-seven, moving steadily east-northeast.
Low 300 miles south of Iceland. Atlantic low forming, moving steadily northeast.
A ridge of high pressure has swayed between North and South Utsire. The area forecast for the next twenty-four hours. Viking, Forties, Cromarty, Forth.

The title is a wordplay on the Faroe Islands, whom are mentioned in the forecast.

The song was recorded as the B-Side of Everybody wants to rule the world.
An attentive listener will hear that it includes musical motifs from the A-Side.
The song could later be found on The collection and Saturnine Martial and Lunatic, as well as deluxe editions of Songs from the Big Chair.

Groove Armada included it in their album Back to mine
