Terra Nine, aka Michael Westcot, combines electric viola with digital and analogue technologies, producing a distinctly organic and free form sound, with an aural palette ranging from chilled ambience to breaks and beyond. Terra Nine’s music has evolved from hard tech-trance to breaks and chilled downbeat and with each release has met with critical acclaim worldwide.
DISCOGRAPHY: 1997-2002 ALBUMS: Planet of Choice (Assemblage Records), Paranormal (Air Recordings) and Zero Point (Assemblage/Tempest). 2002-2004 REMIX EP: Axiom (Tempest Recordings) featuring The Omm Squad, Arcane trickster, Rip Van Hippy and The Random Designers
COMPILATIONS: Terra Nine has featured on numerous compilations worldwide, including Goa Trance Spirits (ZYX, Germany), Ambi-Ant Beats (Green Ant, Australia), Nova Natura (Cosmic Leaf, Greece), A Magical Journey (Ajana Records, Holland), and more recently Escape from Chaos (Tempest Recordings) featuring 2 brand new Terra Nine tracks and a remix of the famous Arcane Trickster and Random Designers downbeat breaks classic, Golden triangle. Also the 2007 release of the Tempest Recordings compilation, Global Slowdown that features a collaboration with Terra Nine on Arcane Trickster’s superb new recording, Dub Atomica
