Biography
To tell this story clearly and fully, I need to take you back to the mid 70’s…..
In an average town in Europe just before midnight, a boy was born under a clear summer sky in 1975.
Being the youngest of three, the boy had an easy time exploring and crossing boundaries set by his parents, which often drove them crazy. At young age the boy discovered the world of tunes, melody and dynamics, immediately being struck by it’s power.
At age 13 he joined his friends into his first band experience, using no equipment to growl and scream over their wall of guitar and drums. Soon he found the microphone and amplifiers to be very useful in this type of art, and this also increased the possibilities for vocal use.
Years and bands later, the young man has explored the many different musical styles, using his own interpretation to develop his own unique style of singing and multiple usage of the voice.
In 2001, a new band was formed after a selection of capable musicians to play and perform a diverse collection of musical styles, which resulted in a theatrical expression of emotions.
During late 2004 they were noticed by Nachtmiss Marisa, a Dutch female DeeJay. She invited the band to play in her show during the nightly hours of the show’s broadcasting.
Friday the 21st of January 2005 they played live at Giel Beelen’s breakfast show, being primetime on National Dutch radio. The following day the band became winner in a National Contest for upcoming talent in a sold out Paradiso(Amsterdam).
Since then they began performing on all the major stages in The Netherlands, such as Melkweg(Amsterdam), Mezz(Breda) and the Bosuil(Weert). The word started to spread, and so the band crossed the boundaries to play in venue’s and on festivals in Germany and Belgium.
In autumn 2006 the band decided to start recording and producing their demo’s to lift them to a higher level of sound and expression.
Summer 2007, the recording and mixing of the demo is finished. Just before autumn, the demo is posted on the brand new site, downloadable FOR FREE!!!
Recently the band got to meet Sven Lens (www.asloudas.com) , a producer who was very charmed by Terry, and offered to re-record some of the songs in the Eurosound studio’s (www.eurosound.nl) . His Participation in the Bogus journey will take place in spring 2008.
In July 2008, the band will have their first international tour, playing in Germany, Belgium and the UK.
